Happy Mother’s Day

Just wanted to stop and take a moment to wish all mumpreneurs a very Happy Mother's Day.  It's important to acknowledge all that you do.

I also want to take a moment to remember all those mothers no longer with us but always in our thoughts.

I've had a wonderful day today with my amazing family and I've been made to feel so special by my daughter Zoe, whom I totally adore.

I'm so grateful for her and give thanks everyday.  It took me a long time to give myself permission to become a parent and I'm so glad I did.

It then took us even longer to have the good fortune to get through a whole pregnancy.   She is our little miracle and I love her to pieces.  She, in turn, makes me feel like the only mummy in the whole world.

I've been thinking about my students today who are 'looked after' or in care.  Some won't be with their mothers, some will be with foster carers and some don't have mothers.  They have experienced more life by the time they become a teenager than most of us will ever experience.

I wish all mothers, wherever you are,  lovely peace and happiness including foster mums, step mums, mums in law, grandmothers, great grandmothers and everything in between.
