PC or Mac? - Mac

Tell us about your business:

Minijoops is about finding and bringing new upcoming brands from all over. I am a mom who loves shopping for her kids and buying them what I think are they trendiest clothes out there and it all happens to be something that wasn't available in the states, so then I thought why not have a shop that can carry them in the US so we can avoid paying the crazy shipping charges. I also of course reach out to other brands that I love big or small here in the states as well.

What motivated you to become a mumpreneur?

As a mom and with growing kids and buying them new clothes, I've always sold on Ebay for a few years, so I've always enjoyed selling clothes, now I'm just onto a different level.

What’s been your biggest challenge in business?

So far since Minijoops is pretty new, the biggest challenge would be to get Brands to take me seriously when reaching out to them.

How have you overcome it?

Take it day by day and reaching potential brands get a little bit easier each time as I get the hang of it.

What’s been your proudest business moment?

Since being a stay at home mom for 8 years, so far a proudest moment has been that I've jumped on starting up Minijoops and investing time and everything else to get this all started.

What’s your catchphrase or favourite quote?

"Family first!" ....We always do this with our children every night, We say, " who's always first?!" and the kids would shout, "Family 1st!"

What do you do to relax or nurture yourself?

Relax, I don't know what that is! LOL. For me, it would have to be shopping. Sadly, nurturing myself does not come often enough, but I do enjoy a nice spa pedicure when I can or choose the time to. (which is rare)

What was the last treat you bought for yourself?

Myself? A spa pedicure on Mothers Day.

mini3Favourite colour - I do not have a personal favorite. I really like most colors. I can tell you that I don't like the colours orange or brown.

Favourite flowers - Lily flowers

What one piece of advice would you like to give to a new mumpreneur?

Risk is reward, just go with your instincts!
