They share with us their motivation, their challenges and their proudest moments in business and they also tell us how they take time to nurture themselves.
If you’re looking for inspiration, then our featured business mums show you what’s possible. Our message is “If we can do it ~ then so can you!”
I just can't wait for you to meet this week's featured business mum ~ she's such an inspiration.
She has changed her own life and now helps others do the same and she has some very, very happy clients. Come and read her wonderful story.

(Most days I want to keep them all – even my teenager!)
Where do you live? Calgary, Alberta, Canada - Its cold but I love it!
PC or Mac? PC – Its taken me long enough to learn this. I can’t possibly change!
Tell us about your business: I help people get into their skinny jeans, one leg at a time. I do this through products I have created. This in includes weight loss challenges, video coaching plus more. I do private and group coaching for those who want more 1:1 time.
What motivated you to become a mumpreneur?
I was on a roll and was losing a bunch of weight. I made up a system that I followed. My business coach encouraged me to start my business around weight loss. It took me a while to wrap my head around that I could actually do this. I then took a Health Coach certification. He was thrilled that I did this and so am I. I have worked in mental health for years as a nurse. I am very comfortable with
helping people work through their problems. Hence, now working as a weight loss and life coach comes very naturally to me.
What’s been your biggest challenge in business?
Opening my mouth to share my business and my products. Hence, its marketing. I have been a nurse way too long to feel like I can talk about myself!
How have you overcome it?
I just get out there and do it. I have a usp created and that helps.
What’s been your proudest business moment?
When one of my clients lost 35% of her body weight. She cried and was so grateful.
What’s your catchphrase or favourite quote?
Change your mind. Change your Body. Transform your life.
What do you do to relax or nurture yourself?
Hot bathes while watching movies! I really love my bed! I can do anything there and it feels nurturing! (Now ladies, it’s all good. PG remember!)
What was the last treat you bought for yourself? My new wetsuit!
Favourite colour ; Black, pink, red, orange. OH! There’s too many wonderful colors to only pick one!
Favourite flowers: That would mean that I must Know the names of them! If I had to chose it would be:
1) Amarilys – I was given one a few Christmases ago and I can’t kill it! Yeah!
2) Snap Dragon (I think) – my friend planted it in her garden and named me after because of its heartiness and able to be beautiful even through hard weather. Sweet isn’t it?
What one piece of advice would you like to give to a new mumpreneur?
In the words of Sir Winston Churchill: “Never give up. Never, never give up!”
