Tell us about your business

My blog is dedicated to moms.  I help find solutions, share advice and identify products that can make a difference in a mom’s life by allowing her to simplify her life, live healthier and have a more productive motherhood.  I also talk about travel and share ideas for going on daily adventures with your kids.

What motivated you to become a mumpreneur?

I started my blog as a way to do something outside of being a mommy. I love being creative and I wanted to help contribute to the family finances.  I also wanted to share my knowledge of living on both sides of the spectrum.  I was a single mom for many years, then a working mom, then became a stay at home mom.

What’s been your biggest challenge in business?

My biggest challenge has been wanting to do all things!!  I have so many creative ideas, so much information to share.  I wish there was a blog post fairy.  With so many ideas I can't get them out of my head fast enough. Often I find my self starting new projects before I finish the last.  Blogging excites me.

How have you overcome it?

Since hitting year one on my blog recently I am now trying to be more organized.  I am listing my ideas as they come so the flow and creativeness continues.  From that list I can organize/prioritize which task/post make the most sense.

Secondly, I am really good at managing my home/family balance.  But when I added the blog I am now working on fitting that into my once well balance daily life.

What’s been your proudest business moment?

People actually getting value from the content I put out.  People saying it has helped them or given them a different perspective on their own lives.

What’s your catchphrase or favourite quote?

Whew!  I have many of those.  If I had to choose one.  It would be:

" It always seems impossible until it's done."

 Nelson Mandela

What do you do to relax or nurture yourself?

I love listening to music and dancing. I wanted to be a dancer when I was a little girl.  Hubby and I also love watching movies.

What was the last treat you bought for yourself?

My updated cell-phone.  I had been on the same phone for 6 years.  Kinda was getting old.  lol  Oh, and the kids broke my screen.

What one piece of advice would you like to give to a new mumpreneur?
